Lou Dobbs, the Fox Business host, said U.S. Marshals must bring former President Barack Obama back to the U.S. because of the remarks he made about President Trump while in India.
While on leadership congress in New Delhi, Obama, went to Asia just few weeks after President Trump returned from Asia tour, attacked Trump’s frequent tweets.
Obama was asked to comment about Michelle remarks she made while delivering a speech in Toronto, Tuesday. Michelle Obama said that it’s not the best idea to “tweet from bed,” clearly talking about President Trump’s morning tweets.
Barak Obama apparently agreed with her.
“Michelle was giving the general idea … don’t say the first thing that pops in your head. Have a little bit of an edit function,” he said.
“Think before you speak, think before you tweet,” he added, pointing out that he has 100 million followers on Twitter, which is “more than other people who use it more often.”
Dobbs responded by saying that U.S. Marshals should follow Obama around, so when he attacks President Trump in other nations they can bring him back to the U.S.
“I think U.S. Marshals should follow him, and any time he wants to go follow the president like he is, and behave — I mean, this is just bad manners. It’s boorish, it’s absurd, he doesn’t realize how foolish he looks,” Dobbs said to Steve Forbes, the chairman of Forbes Media, who was at his show.
“I mean, he should be brought back by the Marshals,” Dobbs continued. “Isn’t there some law that says presidents shouldn’t be attacking sitting presidents?”
Forbes responded by saying, “there’s an unwritten one, sort of a Logan Act for ex-presidents,” but made it clear that it can’t be enforced.
Dobbs took an aim at Obama for slamming the populist agenda that “President Trump has brought with him to Washington, D.C.”
“He calls it destructive populism,” Dobbs stated. “I guess he prefers destructive elitism. At least the people get a voice now.”
After stepping down as a president, Obama has attacked President Trump for numerous matters, like his decision to end the Paris climate agreement and his decision to end the DACA program.
However, President Trump has returned the favor.
